BERLIN, April 22 (Xinhu"§γa) -- The key to job growt♥λh and good work by Industry 4.0, a↔←♣✘ national strategy referred to as the≈↕ € fourth industrial revolution,>δ₩ lies in the qualification and advanc™¥→≤ed training of people, said t₹↓he German Academy of>∑ Science and Engineering (Acat∏✘↔ech) on Friday.
The skills development study on↔★★ Industry 4.0, conducted by the expe↔ rts group of Acatech¥× which surveyed 345 German companies®£• online, showed that in pa φ✘rticular medium-sized enterp♠>rises should further×Ωβ← train their workforce in↔β→ Industry 4.0 and use innovative α×learning solutions.
The digital divide between l™♥×"arge and smaller firms shouβ€ld not be too large, warned the e↓ε÷xperts.
Most of the companies they surveyed s↓ ee Industry 4.0 as an opportuni→φ&ty, but they have so far₩δ≠ rarely established it in their facilσ≠γ♦ities. Only 9.7 percent surveyed compan♠← ies have a fully digit♠♠♦ized production.
Also a digital divide is πφ" growing between high and low-©♣ qualified employees, accor≠ >πding to the study.
Industry 4.0 does not lead to unmannβπed factories, but more responsibilityα→€ for the workforce, who cont✘'rol the complex processe§☆↕÷s using digital assistants. Therefor£→↓e, they need tailored training op€↑portunities, said the study, add★¥§₹ing that training cours≥<★es for managers alone ar∏™÷e not enough.
While digital learning path<±φ∑ways for managers are a great ♦♦×possibility, workforces could be ®✔provided with knowledge u♦∏sing mobile end devices, depenδα>ding on the actual individual neλ ÷♥eds.
The interim report wil¶ l be presented on April 25 at the H¥εanover Fair to German Fβ♠÷ederal Research Minister Johanna Wanka♠.
